The Six Nations is officially underway for 2025 as arguably the best tournament rugby has to offer takes centre stage once again.
Round one certainly did not fail to deliver on drama, with double defending champions Ireland roaring back in the second half to begin their quest for a historic third consecutive title with a dramatic victory over England in Dublin.
That was after a thrilling clash at Murrayfield, where Scotland rallied after a rousing Italy fightback to win with a bonus point of their own thanks largely to a hat-trick from centre Huw Jones.
The curtain was raised for this year’s Six Nations on Friday night, when a France side inspired by returning superstar Antoine Dupont ran in seven tries in total during a 43-0 thrashing of sorry Wales, whose record losing run now stands at 13 Tests in a row.
Next up for the favourites is a trip to Twickenham in round two, after Italy have played host to Wales in a monumental game for Warren Gatland. The second weekend of action then concludes with Ireland going to Edinburgh.
